Ummm...that sure looks like a delightful pastry. But very unhealthy, just like the creme filled chocolate cupcakes. If you catch my drift......

There is only a little over a half a cup of sugar in the whole thing and it's that raw sugar stuff which is supposed to be better, and the blueberries had nothing added but a little lemon juice and were boiled down. I'm trying!:)

...and they were awesome! I mean, it's a different kind of awesome than that of the creme filled chocolate cupcakes, which were, well, "notably" awesome. But they were damn good pastries!

oh yeah, and Mr Y didn't mention that it took like, half a day to make these things. made the dough from scratch, rolled out, cooled in fridge for 20 minutes, took out, doubled over, rolled out, cooled, doubled over, rolled out, etc., for several hours, not to mentioning making the cream cheese filling from scratch, and boiling down the preserves from scratch. Mr Y is a very underrated chef, despite the consecutive A+ reviews.

Just tryin' to be helpful. It just seems that if I eat that kind of stuff, (a sacrifice I'm willing to make) then you guys don't have to worry about it, yet still get all the enjoyment of preparing it. If you think about it, it really is a win/win situation. You guys eat carrot sticks and I eat the pastries.
